The Countdown
Until the torch is lit
Four Official Events
The Games
-
01
The Mile
Race with your oldest child in a stroller, wagon, or whatever they can safely ride on. Roughly 1.2 miles on quiet neighborhood roads. Keep them safe and close.
-
02
Run & Carry
About 300 yards, out and back. On the way out your child rides, pedals, or drives the vehicle of their choice. On the way back, dad carries the vehicle. The child may run back or be carried.
-
03
Overhead Press & Hold
Press your oldest child overhead with one or two hands and keep them above shoulder height, with no resting on your head or shoulder. Everyone starts together. Last child aloft wins.
-
04
Entire Family Carry
Carry all of your children at once for a quick out-and-back across the lawn. You may set them down to adjust, but you cannot move unless everyone is off the ground.
